1. It helps to be flexible so you will be able to cope with the unexpected and adapt to constant changes which are associated with being a travel nurse. Once you are accepted by any of the travel nursing services, you could be called upon at any time to relocate to start your new travel nursing position. It is important to remember that you will need to adapt quickly to new environments, policies and procedures as well as the cultures and work flows.
2. You will need to be assertive. As a travel nurse employed by travel nursing services, you could find yourself working on your own, and as the new kid at your job you will need to be able to speak up for yourself and ask for those things that you need.
