LPN’s typically require the least amount of school (18 months to 2 years), but also earn the least money ($49,000 per year on average in the state of New York).
The job of an RN is the most popular choice among nurses today; it is the largest health care occupation in the U.S. This is mainly because it is a high paying job ($82,000 on average in New York) and only a two-year Associates Degree is required for employment. Some men and women choose to complete additional school in order to be competitive in the field, however. Sometimes they might choose to get a Bachelor’s Degree. You might choose to go to a school of nursing, where the teachers specifically teach and train individuals to be nursing professionals.
